Blackpink Skincare Secrets
BlackPink’s JISOO Favorite Skincare Products
Leader, visual, and the face of Dior are just some of the titles that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo handles. She has dry skin, which is why she believes in masking more than anything. Sheet masks are Jisoo’s go-to to restore the hydration into her skin so much that she claims she’s done it 2-3 times a day sometimes! And it’s paid off for sure—her skin looks so plump and glowy.
When it comes to her overall routine, she seems to focus on products that nourish the skin from within, as well some designed for the lips. Jisoo is also a big believer in downsizing makeup and investing in skincare for skin that’s healthy from the inside.
JISOO: Favorite Products
Toners are a great way to get in some extra hydration, and this one that Jisoo uses is very gentle as a post-cleansing step. Their unique Thermal Spring Water found in most of their bestsellers soothes the skin and has minimized both redness and inflammation on mine.
As there’s no oil or alcohol in this formula, the watery consistency is lightweight and doesn’t clog my pores at all. To form a protective film on the skin, natural silicates are used. I think this especially helps when you’re going to be out and about, exposed to fine dust and pollution in general.
Not only did I love its pleasant scent but it also softened up my skin a tad bit and I was just getting started with my routine! The only issues I’ve faced with this product is that it contains fragrance which can aggravate skin concerns and sensitivities for some, so be sure to patch test.
I’m the type of person to slather on some drugstore petroleum jelly and call it a day but if Jisoo of BLACKPINK recommends a balm then who am I to refuse? Pretty in pink, the salve can apparently also be used as blush or to breathe back color into any area of your face!
Initially, I began applying it as a lip mask at nighttime and I would wake up to softer and plumper lips. There’s also a slightly natural-looking pink tint that allows me to forego lipstick and hey, I’m not complaining.
As it is essentially petroleum jelly, it’s come in handy when I want to tame some frizz right before a Zoom meeting or make my eyebrows appear a little less wild. The tin can itself is a bit of a hassle to open though, yso once you get past that, your chapped lips are good as gone!
BlackPink’s JENNIE’s Favorite Skincare products
BLACKPINK’s main rapper and Chanel’s it-girl Jennie focuses on putting wholesome things into her body as she knows this will show through her skin. She’s known to chug some H2O first thing in the morning, keeps away from salt-laden foods, and also relies on detox juices especially when her group is gearing up for a comeback. Jennie is also an advocate for bodycare and a fan of double cleansing as her job requires her to remain in makeup for multiple hours at a stretch.
JENNIE: Favorite Products
I don’t find myself indulging in cleansing oils too much as I don’t wear a ton of makeup, plus I’m a little worried my already-oily skin might take a hit. But I bagged this product for use during heavy makeup days or when I’m in the mood to double cleanse.
It’s safe to say that Shu Uemura’s cleansing oil woke me up to oils as it cleanses like a pro, leaving behind no residue or grease whatsoever. And it does the job without leaving any tight or tingly feeling. If you’ve had a tough day out, I highly recommend this product to breathe back some life into your skin.
However, what sold me on this is the fragrance experience. Upon application, I could sense top notes of mandarin, ginger, and elemi which then gave way to the middle notes of geranium, lavender, and cardamom. After the final rinse, you’re left with a sultry woodsy scent that you can’t get enough of! Trust Jennie to pick a product that looks and smells luxurious.
BlacPink’s ROSÉ’s Favorite Skincare Products
Hitting all those high notes perfectly and being the face of YSL and Tiffany & Co. is no easy task, but Rosé makes it seem effortless. Instead of using collagen in her products, she likes a warm bowl of chicken feet collagen soup that her mum so lovingly makes.
She also ensures to remove all her makeup at the end of a schedule so as to not allow any bacteria to pile up! Rosé considers herself loyal to the products that suit and complement her as it is easy to get carried away and purchase a plethora of lotions and potions.
ROSÉ: Favorite Products
Rosé trusts IOPE, so I went ahead and got this serum to add some hydration into my rough patches. It features patented technology that contains tiny microcapsules that penetrate deeply into the skin for an intense bout of nourishment. Airy in texture, the serum disappears into the skin sans grease or stickiness.
On the ingredient list, there’s wild root yam extract and white birchwood, both of which target fine lines and wrinkles. With use over a couple months, my skin texture has become firmer and I also notice elasticity without any looseness or sagging.
I think that this serum is a great addition for those looking to get any anti-aging benefits. The antioxidants in the formula plump up the skin and I don’t find pollution impacting my complexion as much.
As I mentioned above that Rose likes products that deliver what they claim to, I sought out this multipurpose formula from Heimish which works as both skincare and makeup. This is perfect for days when you want to skip on heavy foundation.
The formula is water-based, leaving the skin with a soft and dewy look. I especially like this feature because my enlarged pores are blurred out. Not only does my skin feel amply hydrated, but the slight softening covers up my lines, spots, and wrinkles without looking too harsh.
Rose is a busy person who needs to be in hair and makeup for long hours on end, so a product with a lightweight texture such as this one will definitely go a long way in preserving skin health. However, this cream doesn’t successfully deliver the brightening results it claims to, if that’s what you’re in search of.
Blackpinks LISA’s Favorite Skincare Products
The beloved youngest of BLACKPINK is also an immaculate rapper and the brand ambassador of CELINE and Bvlgari. Lisa’s main skin concern is dryness, which is why she’s always looking to combat this. Her trick is to pile on a heavyset moisturizer before bed and massage it in elaborately.
As I have oily skin, I often shy away from such thick and dense creams as I’m scared of the product clogging my pores. But upon recommendation from the Thai beauty, I was willing to challenge myself by choosing a rich moisturizer in the dead winter months.
LISA: Favorite Products
Super plush like a thick delicious pudding, this cream really is a sight to behold. As you apply the moisturizer, a pleasant scent comes off, which I believe works to lull me to sleep, because boy am I knocked out every night!
Going on, the cream is definitely heavy, and takes some time to fully absorb. I’m afraid you’ll have to watch out for transfer and wait until it dries so you can settle under the covers. Some star ingredients like hyaluronic acid, avocado, mango seed butter, and coconut water among others help lock moisture in. Well after I woke up too, my skin felt and looked super soft and I hate to admit, a little greasy.
But if you happen to have dry skin like Lisa, you’re in for a treat for this cream. It nourishes the skin from the inside out and especially during the winter months is bound to feel like a chug of water for the skin.
